Report Scheduler

StaffCop comes together with the Scheduler. Its purpose is periodically download logs from remote computers to the server where StaffCop is installed and also generate reports and send them to the specified e-mail addresses.

To change the settings of the Scheduler, select the "Reports / Scheduler" menu item or start it as a standalone application from the "Start" menu.

The Scheduler runs as a standalone application and it is displayed in the Windows tray. The Scheduler can be started automatically at Windows startup. It is specified in the Scheduler preferences.

How the Scheduler Works

You can specify an individual rule for each agent or a group of agents that will be executed at a certain moment. You can create a new task using the "Tasks / Add Task" menu item. You will see the dialog box where you can create a new task.

The following fields are important in the New Task dialog box:

• Name - the name that will be displayed in the task list of the Scheduler;
• Type - task type (once at the specified time, periodically on the specified days or at the specified time)
• Period start and Period end - the period when the rule is active (for periodic processes)
