How to get started with StaffCop

StaffCop Enterprise is based on client-server architecture, so initially you need a test server and test group of users.

Deployment consists of two phases – installation of server part and installation of endpoint agents on workstations.
For a 15-days trial on 5 workstations you need only:

Server or virtual machine fitting requirements

  • CPU: 2 cores;
  • RAM: 2 GB;
  • Disk space: 25 GB.

Requirements for a workstation

  • ОS: Windows 7 and later, GNU/Linux.
  • CPU: Intel Core2Duo 2,2 GHz;
  • RAM: 2 GB (4 GB for terminal server);
  • Disk space: from 5 GB.

A PC or laptop with virtualization support can serve as a StaffCop Server.
Installation of a server part can be easily performed even by an unexperienced user as detailed user guides are available.

Windows XP is supported with limited functionality

For a full-fledged deployment in the network with large amount of workstations, study system requirements.

Install and configure

StaffCop is distributed in two variants:

iso — The image contains Ubuntu 18.04 (64-bit) and StaffCop Enterprise. Suitable for installations on bare-metal and virtual machines.

.sh — script for installation in existing Ubuntu 18.04

Install and activate StaffCop Server

You can do it yourself or with assistance of your IT specialist, the distributives are accompanied by detailed guides.
The trial version is activated in the web-interface, activation required access to the internet.*.
